E-Transit Models

HARDWORKING. EFFICIENT. ELECTRIC.

The best-selling van in Canada* is about to lead businesses into the future. Ford E-Transit is the only electric work van that has the backing of the Ford Motor Company. That means you get much more than just electrification. You get an entire ecosystem of products, support and know-how from a company with a long, proven legacy of getting the job done. So, it’s not just a new Transit. It’s a new way of doing business.

TAILORED RANGE

By leveraging more than 48 million kilometres of Ford Pro Telematics* data, we learned that the average daily range from commercial vans in North America is 119 km. Of course, we also understand that there are days when those distances are higher and recognize the need to adjust for factors such as cold weather. We consequently designed E-Transit with a targeted 203 km of range (Cargo Van low-roof models). **

*Available on vehicles with embedded modem or equipped with approved plug‐in device (PID). May require modem activation. Ford Pro Telematics and Ford Data Services require a purchased subscription. Terms and conditions apply. Telematics service and features, and access to vehicle data, depend on subscription and compatible AT&T network availability. Evolving technology/cellular networks/vehicle capability may limit functionality and prevent operation of connected features.

**Based on full charge. USA targeted range reflecting current capability based on analytical projection consistent with US EPA MCT drive cycle methodology. Actual range varies with conditions such as external elements, driving behaviours, vehicle maintenance and lithium-ion battery age.

COST OF OWNERSHIP

Since an all-electric vehicle requires no gas usage and offers potentially lower scheduled maintenance costs. In fact, scheduled maintenance costs for the E-Transit are estimated to be 45 percent less than the average scheduled maintenance costs* for a gas powered 2020 Transit over 8 years/160,000 km (whichever comes first).

*Scheduled maintenance costs based on recommended service schedule as published in the Owner’s Manual. Analysis reflects Ford Motor Company’s standard method for calculating scheduled maintenance cost, and reflects data available in 2019 & 2020.

AVAILABLE PRO POWER ONBOARD™

Available Pro Power OnBoard * provides 2.4kW of power. Enough to charge the tools you need to get the job done, from power tools like saws, drills, jackhammers and more to tablets, laptops and label scanners, which eliminates need for an additional generator. And since it works while the van is being driven, it’s easier to keep things powered between jobs.

*See Owner’s Manual for important operating instructions.

BUILT WITHOUT COMPROMISE

E-Transit does everything except compromise. For instance, by placing the battery underneath the body of the vehicle, you get the benefits of an electric powertrain without using up cargo space. And with a maximum payload of 3,800 lbs. on cargo van low roof, regular wheelbase or 4,290 lbs. on cutaway*, you can feel comfortable using every inch of that space to bring you what you need to get the job done.

FUNCTIONAL AND ACCOMMODATING

The E-Transit model was designed to offer a highly functional interior. By redesigning the centre console there is even more leg room, and improved interior walk-through. The new rotary shifter replaces the manual parking brake lever with an e-brake on the instrument panel. While the standard overhead rear shelf delete can give you even more head room when moving around the vehicle. The result is greater functionality and productivity.

THE POWER OF CHOICE

One size never fits all. That’s why we offer so many choices in electric work vans. Just like the gas-powered Transit Cargo Van, the E-Transit comes in three lengths and three roof heights. It’s also available in Chassis Cab and Cutaway models. Which means it adds 8 all-electric configurations to the already best-in-class* total offered by the current gas model.

*Class is full-size vans.

THREE CARGO VAN ROOF HEIGHTS

The E-Transit Cargo Van is available in three roof heights: low, medium and high. The high-roof model allows a person as tall as 6′ 9″ to stand up straight inside the van, making it easier to move around and access equipment. The medium-roof variant can accommodate a person as tall as 6′, while the low-roof height enables easier manoeuvrability and can fit through 7′ garage door openings.

THREE CARGO VAN BODY LENGTHS

Whether you need a vehicle that’s easy to manoeuvre around the traffic and tight spaces of a city or one that offers more cargo space, the E-Transit Cargo Van has you covered. Available in regular, long and extended lengths, there’s sure to be one that’s a good fit for any job.

CHASSIS CAB AND CUTAWAY MODELS

With chassis cab and cutaway models, Canada’s first electric work van from a full-line automaker offers businesses the right van for any job. Plus, it’s easy to upfit and offers a few available packages designed to make adapting to your needs simple and convenient.

ZERO GAS. LESS SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE.

With zero trips to the pump and less scheduled maintenance* than traditional gas-powered engines, electrifying is a smart move. For instance, electric vehicles don’t use engine oil, making engine oil changes a thing of the past. In addition, scheduled maintenance costs on the E-Transit are estimated to be 40% less than the average scheduled maintenance cost compared with a gas-powered 2020 Transit over 8 years/160,000 km (whichever comes first). *

*Scheduled maintenance costs based on recommended service schedule as published in the Owner’s Manual. Analysis reflects Ford Motor Company’s standard method for calculating scheduled maintenance cost, and reflects data available in 2019 & 2020.

LESS NOISE

Work almost anywhere, anytime, day or night, because the all-electric Transit offers a whisper-quiet powertrain that allows for operations in areas with noise restrictions, helping to reduce noise levels in cities and neighbourhoods.

ZERO TAILPIPE EMISSIONS

Zero tailpipe emissions mean the all-electric 2023 Ford E-Transit can operate where vans with internal combustion engines cannot, including indoors, in environments with limited ventilation and at night in areas with restrictive noise ordinances. So it can take your business where it could never go before while helping you attain sustainability goals.
